KABUL (SW): Afghanistan Cricket Board (ACB) has finally unveiled the squad of defending “Shpageeza” champion, the Spinghar Lions for the forthcoming cricket extravaganza.
Under the leadership of passer Hammed Hassan, the Spinghar Lions would take on five teams from different zones of the country for the Alokozay Shpageeza Cricket League 2016 later this month.
The team comprises of star players like Karim Sadiq, Shabir Noori, Samiullah Shinwari, Aftab Alam, Zamir Khan and Batin Shah. It has dropped hard hitting batsman Shafiqullah Shfaq who is facing a 6-month ban. Other players of the squad include Zahir Sherzad, Qaseem Oryakhel, Ikram Alikhail, Parvez Malik, Nasir Umar, Tariq Stanikzai, Hamim Talwar, Ejaz Kunari and Basir Baheer.
The tournament would kick-off on August 09 at the Kabul-Alakozay International Cricket Stadium. Matches would be telecast live by the local television and radio stations.
