KABUL (SW) – Chief Executive and presidential candidate Abdullah Abdullah on Tuesday criticized lack of confidence in the security forces by certain senior officials.
He expressed these views during an election rally here. Abdullah said this has led to the security officials locking the arms of soldiers during inspection of the forces. The presidential candidate said gap has widened between state and the masses due to bad politics and self-interests.
He added this has also contributed to insecurity rather than resolution of public concerns.
Referring to Saturday’s deadly Daesh-claimed suicide attack on a wedding ceremony in Kabul, Adbullah said different terrorist groups are killing innocent Afghans.
With each passing day, the election campaign has gained momentum as well as criticism of the incumbent President Mohammad Ashraf Ghani.
