PUL-I-KHUMRI (SW): A Taliban shadow judge raped a woman in Baghlan province on Saturday night.
A security source in Doshi district of the province told Salam Watandar on the condition of anonymity that the Taliban judge was staying as guest at one of the homes in Doshi district, and at night he raped a woman there.
According to the security source, the incident took place in Zoor Aabi Kilagai of Doshi district. “The owner of the house has ties with the Taliban, and many Taliban militants visit his house frequently”, informed the source.
The source further added that the shadow governor for Baghlan province is currently in the area where the incident of rape took place, and has summoned the shadow judge and the host for questioning. The shadow governor has formed a committee to investigate the matter.
Shams-u-Din Sarhadi, chief of Doshi district, confirming the incident said the Taliban shadow judge is named ‘Lal Mohammad’. The accused, however, has reportedly denied the charge in the committee appointed by the Taliban.
The Taliban have not commented on the matter yet.
