A special girl with an impressive talent

HERAT CITY (SW): 13-year-old Shayista is a special child with a disability, but she has a passion for sketching as one can see in her work put on display in Herat on Saturday.

Her mother said Shayista cannot talk or walk properly, but she has been using her feet to paint since she was 5-year-old.

On the occasion of International Day of Women, Shayista’s 16 paintings were put on display along with some 80 other paintings by women in Herat. Visitors and participants of the exhibition believed that her paintings reflect her suffering in life. Her mother has appealed to the government for Shayistan's medical treatment.
