NILI (SW): Shir Hussain Howaida, an inmate who spends most of his time behind the bars in Central Daikundi province, has made a statue of Hilary Clinton, the front runner Republican candidate for the US Presidential elections.

He has made the statue from iron and limestone. He told Salam Watandar that he likes Hilary Clinton since she has always supported freedom of speech and human rights.

Hilary Clinton in one of her speeches, called Muslims and Christians as equal and brothers, this speech left a great influence on Howaida who immediately decided to make the statue of his favorite politician.

Howaida is basically a blacksmith. He said that he has made desks and chairs as well as beds for the prisoners and the wardens.

The statue has taken the internet by storm and a number of social media users have praised his work.

Some youth have lauded his creativity while criticizing the government for its lack of attention to provide such facilities within the prison so that the prisoners get productive activities and learn something new in the prison.
