KABUL (SW): A terrorist attack that claimed the lives of seven media men last week also took the life of an Afghan National Police (ANP) man Ajmal; leaving his family face the miseries of life alone.
The day has been labeled as ‘black Wednesday’ and those killed on this day have been pronounced ‘martyrs’.
The home of this policeman has now turned into sight of an epic sadness with his children spending most of their time in a corner of a room, his mother and wife crying all day long. Ajmal’s wife has gone so weak she cannot even shed tears, talk or coup. Her pale face and sore eyes depicts what self -destruction she is going through after losing her hope for life with Ajmal.
Her relatives and family members told Salam Watandar that Ajmal’s wife does not talk to anyone and even does not eat.
Ajmal’s mother is not different. Even at this difficult moment in her life, she prays that no one may go through what she has been facing after the death of her son. Demanding justice for the death of her son, she said the government must arrest the culprits and do justice in this regard.
“What bothers me now is the fate of these children [Ajmal’s children], I am worried about their future”, she said. The deceased ANP man has left behind five daughters and a son.
He had a monthly salary of afn 1000, a bulk of which used to go as rent for their house. His mother asserted that Ajmal died while performing the duty to protect the members of the parliament hence the MPs should now come to the rescue of his family.
She also feels bad as why only the journalists that lost lives in this attack got all the sympathy and not the poor policeman.
