JALALABAD (SW): American soldiers opened fire on civilians after their convoy hit a landmine in Ghani Khel district of Nangarhar province in the early hours of Monday, an official said.
Abdul Wahab, chief of Ghani Khel district, told Salam Watandar as a result of shooting by the American soldiers a father and his two sons who were working in the vicinity of the incident are killed. “We do not have information on the casualties sustained by the U.S. forces”, informed Wahab.
A local resident on request of remaining anonymous told Salam Watandar that the civilians who were killed were local laborers.
The American forces in Afghanistan have not commented on the incident to media yet.
