KABUL (SW) – President Mohammad Ashraf Ghani on Saturday left for Turkey to attend the forthcoming Heart of Asia – Istanbul Process meeting there.
According to the Arg, presidential palace, Ghani would address the moot and hold talks with leaders from participating countries. The President is set to address the maiden session of the moot on Sunday.
According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the 8th Ministerial Conference of the Heart of Asia Istanbul Process will be inaugurated with statements delivered by Afghan President Ghani and his Turkish counterpart Recep Tayyip Erdoğan.
The event will be attended by the Foreign Ministers and High Officials of fifteen participating countries, sixteen supporting countries and twelve supporting regional and international organizations of the Heart of Asia- Istanbul Process. The theme running throughout the Heart of Asia-Istanbul Process Ministerial conference is Peace, Partnership, and Prosperity.
The conference will adopt and issue a declaration with renewed commitments to the visions of the process.
