KABUL (SW) – Madina, the minor girl in Kandahar that saw her father killed in front of her eyes earlier this week, remains in shock.
Last week, unknown assailants shot dead her father, 45-year-old Amanullah, in a car when she was onboard with him in the front seat. The tragic shooting sparked anger and grief across the country.
Her uncle, Mohammad Naeem – who is a police officer, said Amanullah was serving at a U.S. military base in the province for the past some years. He said four other members of the family too have paid similar sacrifices while serving the nation.
Naeem said Madina remains in shock ever since this incident in the Arghandab district, and is afraid of everyone.
The local authorities claimed to have captured those involved in attack on Amanullah following operation in Kandahar city.
