BAMYAN (SW) – Two senior security officials in Bamyan province have gang rapped a young girl in the province.
According to the provincial police chief, Mohammad Sadeq Muradi, a commander of recruitment at the police headquarters, Basir Baluch and another senior police officer Mohammad Salem gang-raped the young girl at the government guest house and fled. He said the two officers are on the run. He added Salem and Baluch were previously charged with different crimes as well.
The victim is in police protection now. A joint commission of the police, provincial administration and human rights commission is probing the matter.
