KUNDUZ CITY (SW) – Hundreds of jewelers and forex traders in Kunduz protested on Sunday against increase in armed robberies and assassinations of traders.
The demonstrators claimed police is not taking any action against the armed robberies in bright day light. Today’s demonstration followed one such incident in which a jeweler got injured.
According to protesters, the thieves were disguised as policemen. The warned to keep the shops closed until stern actions are not taken to ensure their security.
Meanwhile, a member of provincial council, Amrudin Wali, claimed the local officials are not capable to maintain security.
Relevant officials refused to comment on this issue.
