KABUL (SW) – Spokesman for the Taliban’s Qatar office told Salam Watandar agreement on two matters has been reached during talks with the U.S. in Doha, Qatar.
Suhail Shaheen, spokesman for Taliban’s Qatar office, said the two sides did reach an agreement on two points, and as long as agreement is not reached on all four points, the details would be kept secret. He said it is likely the two sides would come to term on the matter of the withdrawal of foreign troops, and that would be finalized.
He added if this matter is not finalized, the talks might enter eighth round.
The sixth round of talks between the U.S. and the Taliban started on Saturday. So far, the two have had six rounds in Doha and one round in Abu Dhabi, the United Arab Emirates.
