ACAA revenue witnesses a 34 per cent surge

16/12/2017

KABUL (SW): The Afghanistan Civil Aviation Authority (ACAA) has announced its revenue has gone up by 34 per cent this year.

Mehmood Shah Habibi, Chairman of the ACCA, told a press conference in Kabul that the main reason behind this improved revenue collection has been increase in flights from and to Afghanistan. He added this year, the ACCA has so far collected AFN 5.73 billion, and by the end of the ongoing year it is likely to surge to AFN 6 billion.

The ACCI Chairman added that this year control of a total of 22 airports have been handed over by foreign forces to the Afghan government. The ACCI collected a little over AFN 4 billion worth of revenues last year.
