07/11/2017

SHEBERGHAN (SW): A well-placed source in Jawzjan informed Salam Watandar that the pro-Daesh militants are actively recruiting young men in the Darzab and Qosh Tapa districts of province.

The source informed that the militants are eyeing men between the ages of 20 to 30 for the cause, and are financing their operations via the currency dealers and private banks in the province. The source informed the pro-Daesh militants are also vigorously training child suicide bombers.

Mawlawi Abdul Hai Hayat, chairman of the provincial council, said in this regard that there are concerns about the growing clout of the militants. He informed the pro-Daesh rebels are financially equipping themselves via the currency dealers and banks of Balkh.

Faqir Mohammad Jawzjani, police chief of the province, has acknowledged these reports. He, however, said there are no reports available with them about Daesh’s links with the currency dealers and banks.
