Hundreds of families flee Qosh Tapa Jawzjan

JAWZJAN (SW): The severe fighting between Taliban and Daesh (ISIL) has been continued since the past three days in Qosh Tapa area of Jawzjan province forcing more than 400 families to leave their homes in this district.

 Faqir Mohammad Jawzjani, the head of Police of Jawzjan told Salam Watandar that due to escalation of fighting between Taliban and Daesh (ISIL) in Qosh Tapa district hundreds of families from the villages of Gardan, Bieksar, Khanqa and Chaqma Chaqoor have left their homes.

A number of displaced families also said that Taliban and Daesh (ISIL) groups have checkpoints in their areas of control and have warned other residents to leave their homes.

Some of these families, who came to the center of Jawzjan this morning (Tuesday), said that the Taliban and Daesh (ISIL) have evicted them by force from their homes.

Bibi Khal, one of the displaced said that fighting continued in their area and they had to leave their homes and flee.

Shirin Gul, another displace said that they have been witnessing the killings of innocent people every day and therefore escaped from their areas.

Aminullah Amin, mayor of Qosh Tapa district of Jawzjan said that clash between Taliban and Daesh (ISIL) in the villages of Bieksar, and Khanqa is continued.

Qosh Tapa and Darzaab districts are among the most insecure districts of Jawzjan and recently the clashes between Taliban and Daesh (ISIL) have added further to the insecurity.
