KABUL (SW): Renowned Afghan Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) fighter Baz Mohammad Mubarez has challenged Russian fighter Denis Kanakov who defeated his coutrymate Ahmad Wali Hotak on Saturday.
The Russian fighter denied Hotak yet another back-to-back victory in an encounter in Dushanbe, Tajikistan. Last night, Hotak sustaed his maiden defeat in his professional career. Prior to this, he had participated in 19 fights and won all of them.
In a post on his official social media page, Mubarez has expressed regret over the defeat of his ‘brother and countrymate’ against the Russian fighter. Mubarez has informed the Absolute Championship Berkut (ACB) about his challenge to Kanakov.
Mubarez has vowed to take revenge of every punch Hotak received from Kanakov. He claimed he would knock-out the Russian fighter in first round.
A while ago, Hotak and Mubarez got engaged in some sort of quarrel, and both challenged each other for an MMA match, but later mediationt between the two calmed things down. He has once again underlined that he has no personal differences with Hotak.
In his message, Mubarez has stressed that despite internal differences, Afghans are united against outsiders.
