Deputy speaker of WJ storms out during session

KABUL (SW): Humayoun Humayoun, the deputy speaker of the Wolesi Jirga (lower house) left the Wednesday’s session in protest against the recent developments in the country.

The deputy speaker of the house who was in charge of the Wednesday’s session left without closing the session. Humayoun Humayoun, the deputy speaker of the house left the session in protest against President Mohammad Ashraf Ghani. He blamed Ghani for hijacking democracy for his own close circle and the recent violence against protesters in Kabul.

Other members of the WJ also condemned the recent violence against the protesters by closing their last standing camp.

Nahid Farid, a member of the WJ, said that the county will not accept the government’s killings. She assured that the representatives will support the people.
