KABUL (SW): The Kabul Municipality has announced up to 200 kilometers of roads in the capital would be built or patched this year.
According to this year’s plan, the Municipality will go ahead with these roads from its own budget and support from the World Bank worth 127.5 million dollars. According to the Kabul Municipality officials, this project covers the already constructed roads for reconstruction as well.
Abdul Jalil Sultani, head of media affairs at the Kabul Municipality, told Salam Watandar that the construction of the roads will start within two months which will bring facilities for the residents of the capital. “So far, this is the biggest road construction and reconstruction to this day in the capital. The roads will be up to the standards, and the project will be closely monitored”, informed Sultani.
The KM is working on a ten-year strategy that aims to resolve the municipality problems of the capital.
