JALALABAD (SW) Officials in eastern province Nangarhar informed of a suicide attack on Wednesday morning near Pakistani consulate.
Attaullah Khogyani, Spokesman for Nangarhar’s governor, said that the suicide bomber targeted a police’s vehicle.
Eye witnesses said that the suicide bomber first fired gunshot at police and then blew himself up.
Khogyani said that the blast left two civilians dead and two more injured.
A security official, who did not wish to be named, however, said that the blast has left 6 civilians dead and two more injured.
He said that security forces’ personnel were also among those killed and injured.
SalamWatandar’s reporter at the scene said that two suicide bombers have been hidden in the residential areas near Pakistani consulate and fighting have been flaring up between security forces and these two suicide bombers.
No particular group has claimed responsibility for the incident yet.
