DABS promises subsidized electricity for industry

KABUL (SW): In a bid to strengthen industrial base in the country, the Afghanistan Brishna Shirkat (DABS) has promised to supply subsidized electricity to the industrial parks across the country.

This was mentioned during a meeting between the officials from Afghanistan Investment Support Agency (AISA) and (DABS here on Sunday.

During this meeting,  Abdul Raziq Samadi, the Director General of Afghanistan Brishna Shirkat mentioned that hereafter the industry would be provided with low cost electricity to support domestic production.

He also reported of installing a new 20 megawatt transformer to further boost the electricity output for the industry. This transformer is believed to start producing electricity within the next two month.

 Also, during this meeting, Mohammad Qurban Haqjo, Head of Afghanistan Investment Support Agency (AISA) mentioned that among 27 industrial parks in the country, only five have proper access to electricity.  Haqjo hailed the DABS for cutting cost for the industry.
