KABUL (SW) –President Mohammad Ashraf Ghani said on Tuesday there is a dire need to learn lessons from the life of Prophet Mohammad (peace be upon him).
Addressing a gathering at the presidential palace to mark the birthday of Prophet Mohammad (peace be upon him), Ghani said peace was a feature of the life of the Prophet Mohammad, but the ragging war and violence, the impediments to education and progress, the killing of women and children, shows that we have not learned the necessary lessons from life of the Prophet.
According to him, the Prophet inevitably took arms during his campaign, but his ultimate goal was not war and violence. On the contrary, the goal of the Prophet of Islam was to promote the peace and security and ethos of morality in society, and in the light of the peace and security Muslims achieved a lot in terms of civilization and culture.
In another part of his speech, the president said that in the current era, religious scholars must also keep pace with the modern technology. He said the ministry of Hajj and Religious Affairs will carry out the program throughout the country to hold computer training courses in the mosques.
