KABUL (SW) – The Ministry of Rural Rehabilitation and Development on Sunday inked development deals worth AFN 307 million with private firms.
Faredon Azand, spokesman for the MoRRD, told journalists in Kabul these funds would be used on some 44 different development projects. He added over one hundred thousand people would benefit from these projects in 17 provinces of the country.
The spokesman added these projects would be implemented in Kabul, Balkh, Badghes, Ghazni, Ghor, Helmand, Herat, Khost, Kunar, Kunduz, Laghman, Logar, Nangarhar, Parwan, Samangan and Maidan Wardak provinces that are affected by the recent drought.
As per the officials, funds for these projects would be provided by the MoRRD and the Ministry of Finance.
