
SHEBERGHAN (SW) – Hundreds of Daesh militants surrendered to the government in Jawzjan province, officials confirmed on Wednesday.
Head of security in the province, Abdul Hafeez Khashi, informed that the Daesh leaders including Mawlawi Habibur Rehman and Mufti Naimatullah along with some two hundred local and foreign fighters surrendered to the security forces in Darzaab district of the province.
A well-placed source informed Salam Watandar the militants are accompanied by women and children.
Separately, the Taliban claimed to have killed and captured over 100 Daesh militants in the area.
