KABUL (SW): A reliable source at the Ministry of Interior (MoI) on conditions of anonymity told Salam Watandar 7 personal guards of the first Vice President (VP) Abdul Rashid Dostum appeared before investigative committee on Wednesday in connection with the infamous Dostum-Ischi case.
Two guards of the VP had previously appeared for investigation before the Attorney General Office’s appointed committee. On Tuesday, rumors about the Dostum’s residence being under the watch of the security forces made headlines, but the VP rejected the rumors in a late night press conference. He said it was a routine move by the security forces.
Dostum's guards have been blamed for kidnapping, torturing and molesting senior politician Ahmad Ischi on the directives of the VP in Jawzjan province in November last year.
