LASHKARGAH (SW) – The security forces have freed as many as 57 prisoners from the Taliban captivity in the Helmand province.
According to a statement issued by the 205-Attal Corps of the Afghan National Army (ANA), the operation to free these prisoners was carried out in the Moosa Qala district of the province. It noted the prisoners included four soldiers, 15 policemen, 2 doctors and 33 common citizen.
The statement added no one got harmed in this operation, and four guards of the prison have been taken into custody.
