SAR-I-PUL (SW): The head of provincial council and a number of residents of Tabar village in Sancharak district told that more than 4000 families of this village have been displaced due to war between Taliban and the Security Forces and now endure poor living conditions.
Mohammad Noor Rahmani, head of the provincial council of Sar-i-Pul, expressed his concern about the bad situation of these families, saying that if the local and central government do not pay attention to these displaced people, a human disaster will occur.
The displaced people said that they do not have access to water, food, and shelter, and they have been living a miserable life. According to them, due to severe cold weather, two newly born babies died last night.
Zabiullah Amani, spokesperson for the governor of Sar-i-Pul, told Salam Watandar, that it is out of the capability of the local government to tackle the problems of the displaced families considering the situation and the statistics of the displaced people in the village of Tabar in Sancharak district.
According to the local authorities in Sar-i-Pul, the village of Tabar fell into Taliban’s hands after Karim, the former commander of Hezb-e Islami (Gulbadin Hekmatyar led party), along with 30 of his men joined the Taliban and turned over this village to them.
