KABUL (SW) – The Attorney General’s Office announced on Monday 230 individuals have been charged with election related offenses.
Jamshed Rasuli, AGO spokesman, told a presser in this connection that up to 81 cases from 19 provinces have been filed against these 230 individuals.
He added among these accused included 22 employees of the Independent Election Commission, 32 public servants, four Wolesi Jirga (lower house) candidates and 155 common people.
Rasuli added based on the agreement between the AGO and the IEC, there is a clear definition of cases concerning to either of the two for investigation.
