QALA-I-NAU (SW): More than 200 families in Badghis province affected by the harsh winter have received much needed aid.
Mohammad Anwar Ishaqzai, Badghis governor, distributed the aid among the needy families. He said the relief package included wheat, rice, cooking oil, sugar, beans and tea. “The relief aid packages have been distributed in cooperation with the directorate of disaster management authority and the directorate of refugees and repatriations”, added Ishaqzai.
The governor also said the help will continue to cover more families affected by the heavy snowfall.
The relief comes as 12 people died due to damaged roof tops in different parts of the province a day earlier.
