MAIMANA (SW) – The governor of Qaisar district in Farhab province confirmed on Friday at least 18 security forces got killed in the Taliban attack last night.
Haji Rehmatullah, governor of Qaisar, said the check posts in Erklek village came under assault last night. He said 10 soldiers and eight members of the local uprising force got killed in this attack. He added 14 security forces got injured in the attack.
At least nine Taliban are reported killed and four more wounded in this attack.
When contacted, Ahmad Jawad, media affairs officer at the 209 – Shaheen Corps first brigade, declined to comment on this incident.
The Taliban claimed to have killed and injured at least 39 security forces in this attack.
