KABUL (SW): President Mohammad Ashraf Ghani celebrating the World Youth Day at the Arg (Presidential Palace) here in Kabul on Saturday announced that within one month, the government provides nearly 14,000 job opportunities in various government offices.
The President on the occasion said the problem of unemployment cannot be resolved until citizens support the government's plans. President Ghani called the fight against corruption as the duty of the youth. “Afghanistan will not stabilize until young people, women and the poor have achieved prosperity”, added Ghani.
The youth complained of rising unemployment, poverty, addiction and recruitment by terrorist groups.
The World Youth Day in Afghanistan is celebrated despite promises of government over the last decade that a large number of young people are still struggling with problems like unemployment.
