120 Uzbekistani Daesh militants training child soldiers in Jawzjan

SHEBERGHAN (SW): Authorities in Jawzjan province said 120 Uzbekistani Daesh rebels provide militancy training and use of weapons to children in Qosh Tapa and Darz Aab districts of the province.

The authorities said that the Daesh foreign trainers conduct a 40-day military camp for the children.

Baz Mohammad Dawar, the acting chief Darz Aab district, told Salam Watandar pro-Daesh Uzbekistani trainers, provide training to minor children to fight the government in Sar Dara area of the district. According to him, in recent clashes between the security forces and Daesh minor children aged 15 and 16 were present in the battlefield.

Sher Ali, the commander of Afghan Local Police (ALP) in Qosh Tapa district, said there are currently 120 Uzbekistanis in Sar Dara area of the district and within 40 days provide 120 trained children in groups of 5. “The transit route is currently shut for security forces and government employees in the district. If the government does not take proper action to eliminate foreign fighters in Jawzjan, these rebels will take over the administration of the district as well”, worried Ali.

Abdul Hafiz Khashi, the provincial security chief, confirming the news said that based on the information received from Qosh Tapa and Darz Aab districts, Uzbekistani Daesh members and other insurgent groups want to train child soldiers in villages under their control.

Salam Watandar wished to contact, Qari Hikmatullah, a self-claimed Daesh commander in Jawzjan, but to no avail.

On the other hand, security officials in Jawzjan said that the Hizb ut-Tahrir (Party of Liberation) of Uzbekistan has recently been training children to take part in the battlefield while previously the Party had trained children in making explosive devices.

According to these officials, there are currently 80 Uzbekistani, Sudanese, Arab, Kyrgyzstani, Pakistani, Chechen and Turkmenistani families of fighters are residing in Darz Aab and Qosh Tapa districts who are active in training and recruiting children for Daesh.
