KABUL (SW): With the passage of 2 years, there is still no system for monitoring the collection of 10 percent of the tax on subscribers of telecommunications companies.
Shahzad Aryubi, the acting minister of Telecommunication and Information Technology, unveiled the 3 years achievement of the Ministry in a press conference here in Kabul on Tuesday.
He stated that the government has provided services especially in the internet usage sector but still, there is no system for the 10 percent of tax on the telecommunication users in place.
According to him, by 2021 more than 50 percent of the population will have access to internet services in the country.
The people have requested the government to show transparency in the 10 percent tax on the telecommunication users.
The authorities of the Ministry of Telecommunication and Information Technology stated that 8 billion afghanis have been collected as telecommunication user tax by the Ministry since past 2 years.
