KUNDUZ CITY (SW): At least 10 abducted passengers remain in the Taliban captivity in northern Kunduz province as they released eight passengers on Wednesday.
On Tuesday, the rebels stopped four vehicles in the Aliabad district that were heading to Takhar province and seized some 185 passengers. The militants killed 14 of the passengers on spot while moving them to their hideouts, many were set free while 38 passengers were seized.
The Taliban released eight more passengers on Wednesday, keeping 10 others in their captivity.
Massoum Hashemi, a security official in Kunduz said that 14 passengers have been killed by the militants as a result of fighting between the security forces and Taliban. He said that the passengers were on their way from Kabul to Takhar when they were abducted by the militants.
