KABUL (SW): Ministry of Education will provide educational opportunity along with professional training to 1 million young people.
Authorities of the Ministry of Education (MoE) officially commencing the 2nd round of development program called “Master-Apprentice” here in Kabul on Wednesday and have said that the program aims to provide educational opportunities to those young people who are busy learning technical work in industries.
Mohammad Rahil Formuli, the deputy director for the technical and professional development directorate at the MoE, said on the occasion that the 2nd round of the development program will soon commence in Kabul and 11 provinces with the help of German Federal Enterprise for International Cooperation (GIZ) to provide evening classes for those who are pursuing technical work in industrial and manufacturing companies. “The youth along with education will be equipped with technical skills in order to increase their employment chances”, informed Formuli.
Moreover, the deputy director added that the Ministry wants to implement the program in all the provinces of the country. He also told the gathering that the first round of the “Master-Apprentice” program was implemented 3 years ago in Kabul and Balkh, but the program failed due to lack of technical equipment, the cooperation of international organizations and other problems, however, currently the Ministry is certain in the implementation of the program.
